This policy explains how egain.gg processes personal data. Last updated: 13 September 2026.
Controller and contact
egain.gg is responsible for platform account, wallet and reward data. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to support@egain.gg.
Data we collect
We process account details, username, country and age group, login provider identifiers, session and security data, IP and device information, survey transaction references, wallet entries, affiliate relationships, support messages, consent records, reward requests and access-controlled Steam Trade URLs.
Why we use data
We use data to provide accounts and authentication, match and verify surveys, maintain coin balances, process rewards, prevent fraud, provide support, operate referrals, secure the service, comply with law and—only with consent—measure site usage with PostHog. The legal bases are performance of our agreement, legitimate interests in security and service operation, legal obligations and consent where requested.
PostHog
If you accept analytics cookies, PostHog receives online identifiers, device and browser details, approximate location and interaction data. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, Steam Trade URLs or other direct identifiers to Analytics. Tracking starts only after analytics consent. Session replay masks all form inputs and support or feedback text.
Survey providers and CPX Research
When you open a survey wall, the provider may receive your pseudonymous platform user ID, IP address, device data and eligibility information. Survey answers are provided directly to the survey provider under its own privacy notice. egain.gg receives completion, status, transaction and reward information, including later reversals.
Steam sign-in and rewards
Steam OpenID shares your public Steam identifier when you choose Steam login. We use it to create or access your account. A Steam Web API key is held only on the server. Steam Trade URLs are used solely to deliver or review requested Steam rewards.
Service providers and transfers
We use infrastructure and database hosting, PostHog where consented, Steam for optional sign-in and reward delivery, and survey providers such as CPX Research. Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep active account and wallet data while your account exists. Sessions expire after seven days. Consent records and transaction, fraud, audit and reward records are retained only as long as needed for security, disputes and legal obligations. Account deletion removes or anonymises profile and authentication data, while legally required financial or audit records may remain pseudonymised.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection and may withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Security and children
We use HTTPS, restricted server access, HttpOnly session cookies, access controls and audit records. No system is completely secure. The service is not intended for children who cannot legally consent or use the relevant survey provider in their country.
Changes
We may update this policy when services or legal requirements change. Material changes will be shown through an updated date and, where appropriate, a renewed consent request.
